v27.0.20 - 08/05/2026
· 2 min read
Flows now react the instant your documents move – modified, released, or posted – draw numbers straight from a number series, and lean on a {{workdate}} that finally stands still. The template gallery actually shows up, paid cloud tenants get their real flow count back, and every deleted flow gets tidied up behind it. 🧹⚡
Features
- Run a flow the instant a document or line is changed, so you can validate the edit, rewrite fields, or reject the change outright (CHN-379)
- Run a flow when a sales or purchase document is released, with the option to block the release and show your own message (CHN-382)
- Run a flow the moment a sales or purchase document is posted – inspect or adjust the document header first, or stop the posting entirely (CHN-384)
- Send a notification to the user from inside an interactive document flow, using a dedicated non-blocking step with a SmartField-aware message (CHN-388)
- Draw the next number from a Business Central number series inside a flow and reuse it in later steps (CHN-386)
- New built-in
{{workdate}}SmartField that resolves to the work date of the session that started the flow and stays fixed for the whole run (CHN-387) - Flow and Execution lists now show the flow status, the execution date, and who started each run, with one-click links to the latest execution (CHN-380)
Bugfixes

- The template gallery now refreshes when opened, so newly published templates appear right away (CHN-390)
- Deleting a flow now cancels any of its in-flight executions instead of leaving them stranded (CHN-385)

- Restored backwards compatibility for extensions that build on AutoFlow, fixing an upgrade-breaking change introduced in 27.0.17 (CHN-368)
